Lighting Setup

I took some photos of my Grandson Landon today using the photo equipment I got. Here are some of the photos I took along with the lighting setup I used. The camera I used was a Canon T2i with a Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens.
Here is the setup. The bulbs are fluorescent balanced for daylight.

Mode: Portrait; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/60; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - on.
Mode: Portrait; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/60; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - on.
Mode: AE; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/60; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - on.
Mode: AE; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/60; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - off. Note the light coming thru the backdrop.
Mode: AE; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/60; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - off. I added a black sheet over the background to block the light.
Mode: AE; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/30; F-Stop: 54.5; Built in flash - off.
Mode: AE; ISO: 400; Shutter; 1/30; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - off.
Mode: AE; ISO: 800; Shutter; 1/30; F-Stop: 5.6; Built in flash - off.
As you can see I need to practice more. I would have taken more but my subject was getting restless.

Lighting

I stopped by Christian Photo (see link) after work today and talked to Dave about using the lighting setup I bought. He was a big help and gave me some great suggestions. The guys at Christian are always helpful.

Photography equipment

I got the photography equipment I ordered from Cowboy Studio today. I felt like a kid at Christmas when I got it. I'll take some photos this weekend and try it out.

Deer

I just shot these photos of some deer in our backyard. They are a little blurry since I shot them thru the window and the sun was going down.

Photos

Here are some photos I took this morning of the kids Saundra watches. I learned one thing while taking the photos - kids can be difficult at times. While some are real "Hams" , others are not so much.

Ordered more goodies

I ordered some more photography stuff from Cowboy Studio yesterday. They include 2 lighting kits, a light stand with a flash holder, and a portable backdrop stand. Can't wait to get them.
